Thank you for your fine work on Bible exposition. It’s the best! I would love to see writing on what Bible students are missing when the Bible is misinterpreted as it is presently with futurist teaching , for example, that Christians are waiting/looking forward to what they already have! Also, I believe people do not study the Bible because of all the cognitive dissonance they experience: Jesus says he will come in that generation and their ministers say we are waiting for it. It’s discouraging to sincere study: “Guess I can’t understand the Bible.”

Elijah Has Come, A Solution To Romans 11:25
The Elements Shall Melt With Fervent Heat, Don K. Preston, D. Div
A common view of the world is that the earth is doomed to be destroyed. Did you know that many great Christian scholars through the ages have rejected that interpretation? Is it possible that Peter was not predicting the end of time, and the fiery destruction of the cosmos? Did you know that the Jews called the Temple at Jerusalem “heaven and earth?” Did you know that Peter was actually predicting the destruction of Israel’s Old Covenant “heaven and earth” in the horrible conflagration of A.D. 70?

Jesus said the Gospel would be preached to all the world and then the end of the age would come. He set the time frame for all of this to happen within his generation. So why do modern theologians insist the Great Commission remains unfulfilled? Why do they insists the end of the age is future? Some go so far as to say the Bible cannot be trusted because Jesus’ prophecies were not fulfilled. Don Preston offers an examination of the Great Commission and its relationship to the “time of the end” in 70 A.D. Offering insights into the apostolic end-time harvest of Jews and Gentiles which Jesus and Paul gathered. Gain a fresh appreciation for world missions today by exploring Biblical eschatology.
