In July, 2012 Dr. Don K. Preston of “The Preterist Research Institute” (PRI) sponsored a conference dealing with prophecy and eschatology, in which a debate was held featuring himself and Joel McDurmon from American Vision (a Gary DeMar ministry). This was an excellent conference, with featured speakers William Bell of All Things Fulfilled Ministries, Rod MacArthur – Pastor of Church of Auburn, and Stephen Temple – Author of “Mother of Harlots,” who each spoke on Friday morning through the afternoon.
The Thursday and Friday evening featured event included the exchange between Dr. Preston and Joel McDurmon. Each man gave affirmative and negative presentations in support of their view, or in opposition to their opponent. Joel McDurmon argued for the future return of Jesus and an attendant Resurrection of the Dead, while Dr. Preston argued for the preterist view of an AD70 fulfillment of the coming of the Lord and Resurrection. Then, in the highlight of the conference, Dr. Preston and Joel engaged in a lively and spirited Q&A session Saturday morning which lasted almost three hours! This was a very enlightening exchange and one that you will definitely want to see and hear!
Few Bible students seem to be aware of the absolute necessity for the total fulfillment of the Law of Moses before it could pass. Most claim that Torah ended at the Cross. Jesus said that until every jot and every tittle of Torah was fully accomplished, not one iota of the Law would pass. But, the Law of Moses foretold the second coming of Christ and the resurrection! What this means is that Torah would endure until the Telos (the time of the end). In this first of a planned multi-volume series on the passing of the Law of Moses, Don K. Preston examines Matthew 5:17-18 in great detail, demonstrating the power and the implications of Jesus’ words “not one jot or one tittle shall pass from the law, until it is all fulfilled.” This book will drastically change the way you look at the Law of Moses and the doctrine of the end times!
Elijah Has Come, A Solution To Romans 11:25
Jesus said the Gospel would be preached to all the world and then the end of the age would come. He set the time frame for all of this to happen within his generation. So why do modern theologians insist the Great Commission remains unfulfilled? Why do they insists the end of the age is future? Some go so far as to say the Bible cannot be trusted because Jesus’ prophecies were not fulfilled. Don Preston offers an examination of the Great Commission and its relationship to the “time of the end” in 70 A.D. Offering insights into the apostolic end-time harvest of Jews and Gentiles which Jesus and Paul gathered. Gain a fresh appreciation for world missions today by exploring Biblical eschatology.
